She also faces the challenges of running Carlyon Hall, which has been neglected during Lord Carlyon's absence. Despite the challenges they face, Kate and Lord Carlyon eventually find a way to rebuild their lives and their marriage. They are a reminder that even in the darkest of times, love can conquer all.
